Connecting a Kerio Connect calendar
You connect a company calendar on a Kerio Connect server with the server address, your e-mail and your company e-mail password. SyncMyDay finds the exact calendar path itself, but CalDAV must be enabled on the server.
Before you start
You’ll need:
- the server address – the one you use for webmail is enough, e.g.
mail.company.com, - your e-mail – your company e-mail address,
- your password – the one you use to sign in to your company e-mail.
Steps
-
Open the Kerio Connect form
In SyncMyDay, click Calendars in the menu and choose the Kerio Connect tile. You can also open the form directly.
-
Enter server, e-mail and password
- Server address – e.g.
mail.company.com. We addhttps://and find the exact path to your calendars. If your IT team gave you the full CalDAV URL, you can enter that instead. - E-mail address – your company address.
- Password – your company e-mail password.
Don’t know the server address? Leave the field empty and fill in your e-mail. If your domain publishes it, SyncMyDay looks it up and fills it in. Otherwise, your IT team can tell you.
Click Find calendars.
- Server address – e.g.
-
Choose a calendar
SyncMyDay lists the calendars your account can access. Pick the one you want to sync, adjust its name if you like and click Complete Setup. You can switch to another calendar later in the calendar’s detail via Edit.
A calendar marked Read-only can only be the source of a one-way rule. Blockers can’t be written into it, and it can’t be used for two-way sync.

Done, the calendar is connected
Troubleshooting
“We can’t reach the server …” or “The server … didn’t answer in time.”
Check that the server address is spelled correctly. If it is, the server is probably reachable only from the internal network or over VPN. Ask your IT team whether CalDAV can be made available from the internet. The message “The address … leads into an internal network we can’t reach from the internet.” means the same.
“The server … has no valid certificate…”
For your security we don’t connect to servers without a valid certificate, and no exception can be set. Ask the server’s administrator for a valid certificate.
“We didn’t find any calendar. Please check the server address.”
Make sure you entered the address you use for webmail. If it’s correct, CalDAV is probably not enabled on the server. Contact your IT team.
“Kerio Connect rejected the sign-in details.”
Check your e-mail and password. If your company uses single sign-on (SSO), CalDAV may not be enabled. Contact your IT team.
“The server isn’t accepting more sign-in attempts right now. Please try again in a few minutes.”
After several failed sign-in attempts in a row, further attempts are paused for a while. Wait a few minutes and check the password before trying again.
Sync stopped and I got an e-mail
When the stored password stops working (for example after your company e-mail password changed), SyncMyDay pauses the connection and e-mails you. Open the calendar on the Calendars page, click Edit, fill in New password (optional) and click Save changes.

Technical details
For developers and IT
Calendar discovery
- Starting from the address you entered, we try
/.well-known/caldav(RFC 6764),/caldav/,/dav/and finally the address exactly as entered. - Calendars the account can’t write to are detected via
current-user-privilege-set.
Security
- HTTPS with a valid certificate only; addresses in internal networks are refused. If the server redirects to another domain, the password isn’t sent there.
- The password is encrypted at rest (libsodium).
Sync
- Every 5 minutes we compare the calendar’s
getctag/sync-token. When it has changed, and at least once an hour regardless, events are fetched with aREPORT(calendar-query). - Blockers contain only the rule’s blocker title (e.g. “Busy”),
TRANSP:OPAQUEandCLASS:PRIVATE. They have no description, location or attendees, so colleagues don’t receive invitations.
